WHAT WE DO

STAG offers a wide variety of after school programming for community youth between the ages of 13 and 19 years. 

​   OUR PROVEN RESULTS

  • Addressing poverty, isolation, racism and hunger in minority and at-risk youth.

  • Building Self Esteem and Motivation by increasing life experiences and skills.

  • Providing positive role models and mentors for proactive learning.

  • Advocating healthy relationships and respect for oneself and others.

  • Promoting the importance of staying in school and career counselling.

Sandwich Teen Action Group, or STAG, is a community based non-profit organization responding to the needs of youth in Windsor-Essex County.

We are committed to providing programs for positive life experiences that enable youth at risk to find support, cope with problems and lead healthy lives.

By acknowledging our past, we are inspired to carry forward our motto:

'Respect Yourself. Respect Others.'

Peer Group Meetings: with focus on life issues such as relationships, health, sexuality, etc.

Crisis Intervention and Referral by our staff.

Group Recreation Events such as basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, etc.

Health, Fun and Friendship Project: a self-esteem boosting program.

Homework Club (includes healthy snack)

Boys and Girls Group

Workshops and Guest Speakers

Volunteer Opportunities

Resource Computer Lab for project research, homework, studying, internet access.

Games Room including pool tables, ping-pong, air hockey, football, etc.

Mini-Theater Room with wide screen television and snack bar.

Girls' Room for young women's group: providing physical activities including trips to local pools and guest speakers with focus on women's issues such as self-esteem, body image and unplanned pregnancies.

Fitness/Weight Room: personal fitness instructions for males and females.
